As the children move into lower key stage 2, we are working to develop the skills established in year 2 and to ensure we continue to develop their understanding of the world around them.

We introduce French into the curriculum which the children enjoy and expands their knowledge of the world. 

In Venus class, we have a particular focus on the children's fluency in maths especially their ability to apply their knowledge to a range of situations e.g. using their multiplication knowledge during fractions work, applying their understanding of statistics to their science work. 

We are starting to encourage the learners to be critical of the sources of their learning and develop their problem solving skills.
