Mr Chris Macinnes
Designated Safeguarding Lead
Mr Macinnes became the Head of School at Northill CE Academy in April 2019 and took on the role of Interim Headteacher in January 2020.
"My passion in education is to ensure all children gain a strong love of learning through an exciting and engaging curriculum. Having worked in education from an early age I have developed a strong background in Early Years. I am a very aspirational person, working hard to meet my own goals as well as thriving on helping others to meet theirs. I have worked across all key stages and even taught classes up to and including Year 11 in a previous role and have been an Duke Of Edinburgh's Award instructor. Outside of school I have a son, born in 2017, who is amazingly charismatic, hilarious and energetic. I can't think where he gets that from... together with his mum we love to go on adventures to wildlife parks and safari parks. We also enjoy long hikes through the countryside. Please feel free to come and see me whenever you need to. I like to keep open and honest communication."

Mrs Jo Scurfield
Teacher for Swans Class, LKS2 (Monday - Wednesday)
Emotional Wellbeing Lead
"With over 20 years classroom experience, I have worked in a number of roles including parent volunteer and Teaching Assistant. This inspired me to study for a BA Honours Degree in Education; thereafter, qualifying and embarking on a career in teaching. I went on to complete a SENDCo qualification, enabling me to lead in school on the provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and the support for their families. Other leadership roles include Assistant Head Teacher; however, my passion lies in the classroom providing challenge, nurture and fun learning opportunities to engage children and inspire them to develop a love for learning and provide a stepping stone for achieving their individual potential. Away from school I enjoy time with my family and friends. I love a walk in the countryside with my husband and springer spaniel, Mina. I have also travelled far and wide across the world, trekking mountains."

"Hello! I’m Mrs Robinson and I was lucky enough to join Team Northill in September 2021. I first started working with children after having my own two girls, initially as a parent helper. I went on to work in Early Years as a TA and HLTA and then as a Family Support Worker in a local Lower School - having now worked with children for the past 14 years!! I am passionate about offering a supportive, nurturing environment for children to learn and flourish in.
Outside of school I love spending time socialising with my family and friends, walking my two dogs, going to see bands and travelling - I particularly love visiting the coast and heading back home to beautiful Yorkshire."

"I have been a Teaching Assistant for over 15 years, working in small rural village schools, as well as large town schools. I started my role at Northill CE Academy in March 2020. One of my many passions in life is to help and encourage young children with their learning whilst providing a nurturing environment. I also love reading and enjoy attending my monthly Book Club. I am very lucky to live close to several fishing lakes; I take as many opportunities as I can to walk around and see the amazing wildlife."

"Hello, I am Miss Lynch and I just can’t wait to meet all of you children in Northill CE Academy. I’ll just tell you a bit about me. I have 2 boys aged 5 and 6. They keep me very busy! I have been working and teaching in Bedford College for the last 15 years and in that time I have gained my Cert Ed Teaching qualification and also my level 5 SEND qualification so I have extensive knowledge in the SEND sector. I have worked within the foundation department, Advanced to FE and Teacher Education teaching different age ranges and learning needs. I worked as a foster carer for 5 years just before having my own children, this is where my passion for working with children and young adults began.
