Autumn Term Lunch menu and ordering process 2020

School dinners

In September 2020 we welcomed Caterlink into our community to start cooking fresh meals on site daily. We operating a term by term 3 weekly rotating menu which provides a healthy and fully balanced diet for all of our pupils who choose to have a school meal.

School meals are FREE for all pupils from Reception to the end of Year 2 under the governments Universal Infant Free School Meal initiative, as well as for pupils from families who are in receipt of some national benefits. Any pupils in Years 3 or 4 can also order a school meal at the low daily cost of just £2.30 per day.

We actively promote healthy eating, so encourage parents to provide a healthy packed lunch for their child. We politely request that parents do not include fizzy drinks, chocolate or crisps in their child's packed lunch.  Please do not include nuts (particularly peanuts) or nut spreads as sandwich fillings in your child's packed lunch as we have children in school with nut allergies.

Milk is provided by Cool Milk and is free of charge to children under 5 and is subsidised for children over 5.
To register your child for free milk, or to purchase milk for your child, please visit  Cool Milk

The school actively encourages children to drink water at lunchtime and throughout the day. Your child will need to bring a named water bottle to fill and use during the day.

All children have free fruit and/or vegetables during break times, which is financed in part by the Government and the school’s budget.  If you would like to provide your child with a snack please can you ensure that it is a piece of fruit or vegetable.
